Thankful!

Everyone has to have a Thanksgiving gratitude post right? I have so much to be thankful that I would feel so guilty if I didn't acknowledge it and writing stuff down seems to help me think through it on my own. This Thanksgiving was wonderful. Moving away has made me realize just how much I love and appreciate every single thing about my amazing family. I got to come home Tuesday night after work and just hang out with my parents and siblings all Wednesday and Thursday morning. My mom's siblings came over for Thanksgiving dinner as well as almost the rest of my brothers and sisters. After lunch at my house I swung over to my aunt's house to visit with the fam for a while. Last but not least we ran out to Wellsville to see my Granny and other Aunts and Uncles. It was a great day. For about a month now I have been keeping a huge secret. My friend Benny called  and told me that she was coming home for Thanksgiving but no one knew yet. It was so hard not to tell Perri or my cousin Kilee. Thursday night we surprised Per and Ki. It was so great. Then we tried to do some Black Friday/ Grey Thursday shopping. Mostly we just people watched but it was still fun. Saturday we woke up early and went to cut down our Christmas Tree. It was pretty memorable this year involving having to pull three cars out of the snow with my mom's jeep. We all survived and it was a good time. It was a wonderful weekend and it has me so grateful for all that I have in this life. So here goes my list. I am thankful for my family. From my amazing sweet mother to my caring protective Papa Sam, to my hilarious random baby sister, to my quirky strange Milo, to my awesome Big Brother Zach that I am just so glad to have back with our family after a couple of years, to all the rest of my other siblings and nephews. I am thankful for my friends. I have missed my bestie Benny so much for the past three months and I am so not thrilled to say goodbye again tomorrow. I'm thankful for my other friends like my cousin Ki and the one that I didn't get to see this weekend like my Red Head Jordi and my Hawaiian beach bum Bri. I am so excited to get everyone back together for Christmas Break. I am thankful for my wonderful patient boyfriend. He makes me so happy and is so good about how far away we live. I am thankful for the gospel in my life. It gives me direction and peace in my life that I can't find anywhere else. I am thankful that I live in this great country where I am free enjoy all my other blessings in safety. Last but not least, I am thankful for my comfortable bed which is calling to me right now. So, I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving and bring on the Christmas season!! :)

Thanks for the reminder, Dani, of things we take for granted and need to be thankful for! I am thankful for the example you set in our extended family, for the sweet niece that you are! Thanks for stopping by on Thanksgiving...I look forward to enjoying the Voice Male concert with you!
