Two weeks! I am two weeks away from having a husband. The best husband I might add. I've been waiting for the cold feet to set in and it still hasn't happened! I just get more and more excited with each passing day. This week I had a couple of bridal showers and I am beyond amazed at the genorosity of my friends and family. Everyone is so sweet and gives us such amazing gifts! We feel so blessed. It's been so nice to have Waylon already moved into our place cause it gives me a spot to go and put gifts from showers. I've had so much fun getting the house set up and organized. Today I went over to put some things away and clean, I figured Waylon would be up and ready to help me. He was up but by no means ready. My poor boy is so sick! He had a crazy high fever and couldn't get a sentence out for all the coughing that was going on. It broke my heart, I'd never seen him so sick. My amazing coworkers covered for me at work so I could stay with him all day and until later tonight. When I did get him to drift to sleep I was able to work on my thank you notes (I'm trying really hard to stay caught up on shower notes before the wedding.) I'm hoping he feels better tomorrow cause we have a bunch to do over these next few weeks. I mean who gets sick in July? Thankfully it's now and not in two weeks! Anyways, who knows if I'll blog again before the big day. Have a great day everyone

~1 Month!~
We are officially less than a month away from getting hitched!!! You could say I'm getting a little bit excited, also a little bit nervous and hectic. Hopefully my friends and family still like me when I'm done with my crazy bride brain. I mean it's kinda bad but I also could have been way way worse!
The hardest part for me is the creative stuff. I'm just not built that way. I'm pretty good at covering logistics and what not but all the cutesy things are hard for me to do. Thank heavens for Pinterest. I don't know what I'll do with my free time when I no longer need to browse the wedding pages during every empty minute of my day.
Waylon has been so sweet dealing with my crazy bride-zila-ness! He's seriously the best and I would have had 5X as many meltdowns as I've had if it weren't for him.
We got to go take our Bridal's and Groomal's down in Salt Lake last weekend and I can't wait to see how they turned out. We did one of those "First Look" shots and I'm just beyond excited to see how those look. In order to get the "First Look" shot we had to blind fold him from my apartment up on Foothill Drive all the way down town to the place where we took our pictures, Memory Grove Park. The looks on people's faces as they walked or drove past my mom's car with her driving, blindfolded Waylon in the front seat, Per and Me in my puffy dress and hair in the back were absolutely priceless. After the stresses we encountered with trying to locate my bustle and Waylon's pants being big enough that he could swim around in them, I'm glad we got a little bit of a test run before the big day.
I still need to officially order the cake as well as find something old, something new, and something blue :/ I'm also working on finding music for the Ring Ceremony. If anyone has any absolutely fantastic ideas on any of these I'd love to hear them.
Have a fantastic week er'ybody!

Sunday Night Musings
Today was another Sunday, and another farewell. One of best friends from my childhood gave her last talk in church for a year and a half. My friend and name sharing cohort Dani Gomm is headed to Birmingham, Alabama within the next few weeks. We've drifted apart over the years but it was great to see her today and I know she is just going to be absolutely fantastic out there. It's crazy how many missionary farewells I've been to the last couple months and they just keep coming! I have 2 to go to next week alone. It's amazing how The Lord has stepped in and made the changes necessary for his saints to take the gospel all over the world to all of his children. One of the farewells that I have next week is one of my vey best friends. I honestly am not quite sure either of us would have made it through high school without each other. She's honestly my soul sister. I'm not going to lie, I'm still pretty sore that she won't be here for my wedding in July but I know that she is going to bless so many lives in Peru. I love this gospel so very much, with all of my heart. It's my rock and source of guidance and peace. I can't wait to go through the temple and then be sealed to my sweet honey for eternity. I hope ya'll had a fantastic Sunday :)

We're Grown-ups?!?
I've learned over the past couple of months that while I thought I had grown up to go to college, that was nothing in comparison to the growing up I would be doing in order to get ready to get married. Trying to figure out finances and insurance and phone and internet bills is down right exhausting!! Probably one of the more fun parts of this has been finding a place to live! I stressed for about 2 months straight and then the answer seemed to fall right into our laps. A family friend of ours manages some condos and was in a position to offer us a little bit of a deal and help us out. I went and checked out the place on Wednesday and on Friday Waylon and I signed the rent contract on our cute little condo. It's just east of the mall in Colonial Village or something to that effect. It's the most adorable little split level condo you could ever imagine. The landlord is having it deep cleaned and the carpet replaced and Waylon gets to move in on the 20th!! I'm actually kinda jealous to be honest. I'm just staying with my parents until the wedding which is way nice but I wish I could move in and get to organizing and decorating and what not but I'm sure it can wait!

Welcome back Summer, You little gem you!
It's officially unofficial summer in my world! That is, I'm done with school; though I realize it isn't actually the season of summer yet. I finished my last final last Wednesday and it was the most glorious thing ever. It was like a giant spikey flaming weight had been lifted off of my shoulders when I walked out of the biology building. I headed back to my apartment and packed up some more of my belongings before driving back to Logan, for good ish. You see, I officially live in Logan again; well with the exception of my furniture and kitchen supplies but I don't need those for a while since I'm living at home till the wedding. I'm officially on coast this summer and its the best. I'm working a couple of days a week at the Country Club again as well as enjoying being home. I'm excited to get to catch Per and Miles's ball games as well as try and get a handle on this whole wedding planning thing. I find myself wishing it would get here faster but I also realize that I am nowhere near prepared. I seriously need to get my butt into gear. Other than that stress and those little panic attacks I occasionally get because of the wedding planning, summer is off to a fantastic start! I can't wait to see all the adventures ahead of me this summer. It's going to be the best one yet.

Finals Week? I've never been more motivated to blog!
There's nothing like something you ought to be doing to motivate you to do something else that doesn't really matter all that much. It's like when I have a big paper due and all of a sudden I feel the uncontrollable need to clean my car. Or when I really should be sleeping but I get the random desire to craft or bake. So it is with Finals Week and my blogging habits. I think it's okay though, I finished my second final tonight making me done with 50% of my tests. I need a break before my little brain implodes. I am most definitely extremely stressed right now. If I make it to the end of finals week I will count it a miracle. I've got 2 more finals one on Friday and then one next Wednesday. I think I can, I think I can. When I finish up my last final I am headed home with a big load of my stuff to move home. Since I don't have renters to take over my contract I'm moving home a little bit at a time until I get someone to take over or until Waylon moves into our apartment (hopefully in June.) I'm headed back to the Country Club to work this summer and I just can't wait to get home and get back down to wedding planning and working up there again. Anyways, there's my little update for this week. Hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week and rest of April

Twitterpated!
This is a mushy gushy lovey dovey sappy blog post! If you are averted to such things stop reading now. Seriously! Don't say I didn't warn you.
I'm pretty sure everyone in my life is fully aware that I am engaged to the love of my life, Waylon William Dean Hervey. Because; Well, I'm very excited and I'm not a quiet keep to myself kind of excited person. I've been meaning to blog and tell the story of how he popped the question for about a month now but I just hadn't made it to that yet.
I should preface this with some basic info. I met Waylon my Sophmore year of high school. He was a Junior playing on the baseball team with Zach. I fell for this adorable goofy kid pretty fast. We were friends for a year before we started "dating" my junior year. That was it, I'm not sure when it was but eventually I realized this was who I was supposed to spend forever with. We've been through our fair share of troubles; him being graduated while I was still in high school and a year of living 80 miles away from each other were both pretty tough.
When Waylon chose to be baptized in July he thought that I'd for sure be ready to be hitched exactly one year afterwards. Funny as it sounds I told the poor kid no! I told him I needed to graduate before I wanted to get married and that I was just too young still and we needed to grow up a bit. Well.... Let's be real, that thought pattern didn't last too long. One night I had a long soul searching visit with my big brother Zachary and as I talked with him it hit me "What am I waiting for? I love Waylon, I'm never going to want anyone else ever. Why am I being so stupid?" So, I ate my words and told Waylon that whenever he decided he was ready to ask for reals I would say yes. He thought I was playing a joke on him and I felt so terrible! When we were seriously talking about getting married we both decided that we were sick of waiting so we chose out the date July 27th before we were even engaged because that was the first Saturday after the one year anniversary of Waylon's baptism so we can go to the temple.
I told Waylon what I liked in rings and told him that I wanted him to surprise me with the ring and when he asked me. (I know, I guess I'm a little bit demanding.) Waylon decided to have a guy down in Provo make a ring that he had designed. This meant it took a little longer because they had to finish the design, make a wax mold, make the actual ring, and then he had to go pick it up. I thought the ring was still being made when Waylon and his mom and grandma snuck down to Provo to pick it up. On January 16th my dad called me and asked if I could come home that weekend to keep an eye on Perri because my parents were going out of town for a baseball camp with Miles. I told him of course and told Waylon that I'd be home that weekend to babysit. He said "Great, let's go out on a date on Saturday" I was totally down! I got home on Friday and Waylon came over to hang out that night. When I sent him home at the end of the night he said we were going to dinner a little bit early the next night because he had a surprise planned for later. Honestly I thought he was taking me to a movie that I had not so subtly been hinting that I wanted to see. We went to dinner at Calaway's at about 5:30. While we were at dinner I proceeded to whine about how badly I just wanted to be officially engaged and how I wanted to see the ring he had designed. He just said "I'm sorry I should have gotten started sooner." (Basically I'm now a little bit worried about how well he can lie) On our way back in to town he said we were going to the Bluebird. The Bluebird is kind of "Our Place" I absolutely love the old ice cream bar in the restaurant and my grandpa and mom taught me that they make the best butter-cream chocolates in the whole world! Waylon's always been a trooper to take me to get ice cream at the old fashion counter because I have a major sweet tooth and he knows how romantic I think that place is. I was kinda surprised that he wanted to go get ice cream because it was the 19th of January and like 8 degrees outside but I love that place so much that I just went with it. When we pulled in I told him that I thought it was probably a little bit chilly for ice cream and he said that was fine we would just buy some chocolates. We built a 1/2 lb box with all of my favorites and headed home. I told Waylon that I needed to stop at Macey's to get stuff to make Sunday dinner the next day. He said that was fine as long as we hurried so that we didn't miss the surprise. I asked him if it was the movie that I suspected because I had plans to go see it with a friend on Monday and he got such a deflated look on his face and said "You always guess" I felt so bad. We grabbed groceries and headed home. Per was just getting ready to head out with some friends when we got there so I chatted with her while I started putting things away in the fridge. Waylon came back into the kitchen as I was finishing up and suggested we go sit on the couch. Once we were sitting there he grabbed the box of chocolates and handed them to me. Thinking of my buttercreams I was more than willing to tear them open. When I got the lid off of the box I saw the most gorgeous ring I had ever seen sitting on top of one of the chocolates! He grabbed the ring out of the box and landed down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him :') I was so stunned that I sat there staring at him down there for quite a few seconds when finally he said "Can you please say Yes?" I didn't realize I hadn't answered him yet. Per snuck in and caught this special moment for us on camera!
Basically, the moral of the story is that I am the luckiest girl in the world! I absolutely can not wait to marry this amazing man who I was so lucky to find. Waylon is the sweetest most caring man I could have ever found and I'm so thankful every day that I have him.
Wedding planning is pretty exhausting! It's fun but I'm definitely only doing this the one time. We bought the dress last weekend, and are in the process of finalizing the photographer and the rest of the schedule after the temple in the morning.
I've heard that everybody is apparently sickeningly sweet and sappy when they are engaged and I apologize in advance for the sappyness that is probably oozing from my very being, I'm just so very excited.
Well now that I've gushed for a decent amount of time I'll be done. Have a great rest of your week anyone that was brave/tough enough to make it to the bottom of this ;)
