Married Bliss!

Well it happened! I never thought July 27th was going to get here but it did. It came and went and honestly I can easily say it was the best day of my life. We are absolutely loving married life. Our Honeymoon in Jackson Hole was perfect regardless of the rain that came down every day. And now I absolutely love getting to see my adorable husband every single day even if it just for 5 minutes in passing on our way to and from work.

I redid the blog a little bit because it's not just me any more. Hopefully I can stay on top of it and keep this little thing updated with the tales of our adventures over the years.

We're just trying to squeeze out the last little bit of summer that we can before I have to go back to school and life gets really really busy again. Don't get me wrong we're a little bit hectically busy right now, it's kinda tricky to juggle one of us being nocturnal and the other one not. However, it's fantastic. The chaos and unpredictability is what makes it exciting and wonderful.

Waylon's been swamped at work lately so we're pretty excited to go over to my grandma's cabin in Bear Lake with my family this Saturday and spend the night before we head to my cousin Kayden's mission homecoming Sunday morning. I'm pretty excited to see that kid after 2 years serving the lord.

Hope all is well with all of you. Have a fantastic week :) Enjoy the rest of your summer!

We're so close!

Two weeks! I am two weeks away from having a husband. The best husband I might add. I've been waiting for the cold feet to set in and it still hasn't happened! I just get more and more excited with each passing day. This week I had a couple of bridal showers and I am beyond amazed at the genorosity of my friends and family. Everyone is so sweet and gives us such amazing gifts! We feel so blessed. It's been so nice to have Waylon already moved into our place cause it gives me a spot to go and put gifts from showers. I've had so much fun getting the house set up and organized. Today I went over to put some things away and clean, I figured Waylon would be up and ready to help me. He was up but by no means ready. My poor boy is so sick! He had a crazy high fever and couldn't get a sentence out for all the coughing that was going on. It broke my heart, I'd never seen him so sick. My amazing coworkers covered for me at work so I could stay with him all day and until later tonight. When I did get him to drift to sleep I was able to work on my thank you notes (I'm trying really hard to stay caught up on shower notes before the wedding.) I'm hoping he feels better tomorrow cause we have a bunch to do over these next few weeks. I mean who gets sick in July? Thankfully it's now and not in two weeks! Anyways, who knows if I'll blog again before the big day. Have a great day everyone

~1 Month!~

We are officially less than a month away from getting hitched!!! You could say I'm getting a little bit excited, also a little bit nervous and hectic. Hopefully my friends and family still like me when I'm done with my crazy bride brain. I mean it's kinda bad but I also could have been way way worse!
The hardest part for me is the creative stuff. I'm just not built that way. I'm pretty good at covering logistics and what not but all the cutesy things are hard for me to do. Thank heavens for Pinterest. I don't know what I'll do with my free time when I no longer need to browse the wedding pages during every empty minute of my day.
Waylon has been so sweet dealing with my crazy bride-zila-ness! He's seriously the best and I would have had 5X as many meltdowns as I've had if it weren't for him.
We got to go take our Bridal's and Groomal's down in Salt Lake last weekend and I can't wait to see how they turned out. We did one of those "First Look" shots and I'm just beyond excited to see  how those look. In order to get the "First Look" shot we had to blind fold him from my apartment up on Foothill Drive all the way down town to the place where we took our pictures, Memory Grove Park. The looks on people's faces as they walked or drove past my mom's car with her driving, blindfolded Waylon in the front seat, Per and Me in my puffy dress and hair in the back were absolutely priceless. After the stresses we encountered with trying to locate my bustle and Waylon's pants being big enough that he could swim around in them, I'm glad we got a little bit of a test run before the big day.
I still need to officially order the cake as well as find something old, something new, and something blue :/ I'm also working on finding music for the Ring Ceremony. If anyone has any absolutely fantastic ideas on any of these I'd love to hear them.
Have a fantastic week er'ybody!

Sunday Night Musings

Today was another Sunday, and another farewell. One of best friends from my childhood gave her last talk in church for a year and a half. My friend and name sharing cohort Dani Gomm is headed to Birmingham, Alabama within the next few weeks. We've drifted apart over the years but it was great to see her today and I know she is just going to be absolutely fantastic out there. It's crazy how many missionary farewells I've been to the last couple months and they just keep coming! I have 2 to go to next week alone. It's amazing how The Lord has stepped in and made the changes necessary for his saints to take the gospel all over the world to all of his children. One of the farewells that I have next week is one of my vey best friends. I honestly am not quite sure either of us would have made it through high school without each other. She's honestly my soul sister. I'm not going to lie, I'm still pretty sore that she won't be here for my wedding in July but I know that she is going to bless so many lives in Peru. I love this gospel so very much, with all of my heart. It's my rock and source of guidance and peace. I can't wait to go through the temple and then be sealed to my sweet honey for eternity. I hope ya'll had a fantastic Sunday :)

We're Grown-ups?!?

I've learned over the past couple of months that while I thought I had grown up to go to college, that was nothing in comparison to the growing up I would be doing in order to get ready to get married. Trying to figure out finances and insurance and phone and internet bills is down right exhausting!! Probably one of the more fun parts of this has been finding a place to live! I stressed for about 2 months straight and then the answer seemed to fall right into our laps. A family friend of ours manages some condos and was in a position to offer us a little bit of a deal and help us out. I went and checked out the place on Wednesday and on Friday Waylon and I signed the rent contract on our cute little condo. It's just east of the mall in Colonial Village or something to that effect. It's the most adorable little split level condo you could ever imagine. The landlord is having it deep cleaned and the carpet replaced and Waylon gets to move in on the 20th!! I'm actually kinda jealous to be honest. I'm just staying with my parents until the wedding which is way nice but I wish I could move in and get to organizing and decorating and what not but I'm sure it can wait!

Welcome back Summer, You little gem you!

It's officially unofficial summer in my world! That is, I'm done with school; though I realize it isn't actually the season of summer yet. I finished my last final last Wednesday and it was the most glorious thing ever. It was like a giant spikey flaming weight had been lifted off of my shoulders when I walked out of the biology building. I headed back to my apartment and packed up some more of my belongings before driving back to Logan, for good ish. You see, I officially live in Logan again; well with the exception of my furniture and kitchen supplies but I don't need those for a while since I'm living at home till the wedding. I'm officially on coast this summer and its the best. I'm working a couple of days a week at the Country Club again as well as enjoying being home. I'm excited to get to catch Per and Miles's ball games as well as try and get a handle on this whole wedding planning thing. I find myself wishing it would get here faster but I also realize that I am nowhere near prepared. I seriously need to get my butt into gear. Other than that stress and those little panic attacks I occasionally get because of the wedding planning, summer is off to a fantastic start! I can't wait to see all the adventures ahead of me this summer. It's going to be the best one yet.

Finals Week? I've never been more motivated to blog!

There's nothing like something you ought to be doing to motivate you to do something else that doesn't really matter all that much. It's like when I have a big paper due and all of a sudden I feel the uncontrollable need to clean my car. Or when I really should be sleeping but I get the random desire to craft or bake. So it is with Finals Week and my blogging habits. I think it's okay though, I finished my second final tonight making me done with 50% of my tests. I need a break before my little brain implodes. I am most definitely extremely stressed right now. If I make it to the end of finals week I will count it a miracle. I've got 2 more finals one on Friday and then one next Wednesday. I think I can, I think I can. When I finish up my last final I am headed home with a big load of my stuff to move home. Since I don't have renters to take over my contract I'm moving home a little bit at a time until I get someone to take over or until Waylon moves into our apartment (hopefully in June.) I'm headed back to the Country Club to work this summer and I just can't wait to get home and get back down to wedding planning and working up there again. Anyways, there's my little update for this week. Hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week and rest of April
