I bet everyone remembers it. The first big fight they had with their new husband or wife. To be honest I was hoping it would be a little farther into our marriage before it happens but I'm having an ominous feeling about this coming week.
You see, Waylon and I have different favorite baseball teams. This is a problem that probably doesn't happen to too many couples. My brother for instance chose a wife who didn't know or probably care even the slightest bit about baseball. He therefore get's to dress her up in his favorite team's gear and basically control her thoughts as the pertain to baseball. This is not the case in my poor husband's life. He chose a wife with background information, passion, and a fair amount of knowledge about his favorite sport. Unfortunately I had a favorite team before I met and fell in love with Waylon and I'm just stubborn enough that that is not changing!
We've made it through these last couple years just fine. I cheer for his team when they're playing. He respects and likes my team alright. It honestly hasn't ever been too big of a problem. I guess it's a good thing that our teams are in different leagues so they don't play each other often at all. When we got engaged I started to rack my brain about some unique fun engagement photos for us to take. I wanted something that was so "us." Finally it hit me. Baseball is a massive part of our lives. From Waylon playing in high school, both of us watching all levels of baseball for our whole lives, to Waylon having the opportunity to help coach the Mountain Crest freshmen; it's pretty much a big deal to us. And of course we could have a little fun with it since we each had our own team.
Now I'm not a fan of those people that upload 8 billion engagement, and formal, and wedding day pictures to Facebook but this isn't Facebook and it's not 8 billion. If you hate these pictures, I apologize and invite you to scroll quickly. I think they're fun.
The Results:
Why the sudden worry and nostalgia, You might ask? Well you seen, last night my Red Sox won the American League Championship and the night before that Waylon's Cardinals won the National League Championship. World series here we come... both of us.
I'm so very conflicted, more so than I have been in a very very long time. I mean who doesn't want their team to win but I sure don't want to watch my hubby's team lose. (Rock) Me (Hard place)!! I guess we'll see how this all goes. It's going to be a long dang series that's for sure. The odds of this happening 3 months after we got married who even knows! I sure hope this World Series matchup doesn't happen again for a good while!

Keep on keeping on
I started this post a little unsure of what I feel like trying to say. I'm tired lately, not in a sleepy way in a completely drained and exhausted way. I love my life, I love married life. It's just a lot more work than what I realized. I figured I'd be pretty prepared to keep a house in order having lived on my own for 2 years. I mean I knew how to do laundry, how to cook and clean decently well. But it's more than that when you're taking care of two of you. The planning is probably the hardest for me. I tend to want to fly by the seat of my pants and it's a little bit harder two do with 2 schedules, 2 opinions and what not. I'll tell you one thing though, getting married sure has made me appreciate my momma a lot more. I'm struggling handling work, school, and home stuff, and I don't even have the mom aspect to deal with yet. I don't know how she has done it for the last 20 some odd years. I'm so impressed. I'm also so very conscious of what a great husband I snagged. Waylon is seriously the best, he's so helpful with everything and patient with me when I inevitably screw up a bunch. Keep on keeping on is a more accurate title than I even realized. I love my hectic tiring crazy beautiful life. I would never change a thing about it. Sometimes you just have to remember to keep going and everything will work out how it's supposed to.
Much love,
Dan

Little bit of Autumn Catch-up
I don't remember what I last mentioned on here.... well here comes a mass download. I guess I've pretty much missed the whole month of September.
September is our birthday marathon month. We had about 10 and a couple that were repeats on the same day! We had the chance to go down to Salt Lake for Waylon's cousin's birthday and then make it back in time to do cake and Ice Cream for Miles' 11th (It's crazy scary that he's that old already, it freaks me out a little bit.)
We got to baby sit Perri for a weekend while my parent's went to Yellowstone to hear the elk bugle.
We watched lots and lots of football and baseball. I'm loving the baseball, football not quite as much.
We worked, and schooled. Thankfully we're a little more than a third of the way done with this semester.
"We" crafted. Ok, I crafted. Waylon shopped with me for supplies and then played video games while I was crafting
