Sunday's are fantastic. I love going to church, spending time with family, napping, and good food. I do however, have different feelings entirely toward Sunday-nights :( Sending my hubby back to work is the worst. I hate nights without him. That being said we are so grateful for him having such a good job that I feel bad whining too much. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing guy who works so hard to provide for our little family. He really is the best and I couldn't dream up anyone better. Hopefully these graveyard shifts won't last forever. I can't wait for the day that my husband is no longer nocturnal ;)

Another Week in the Books
I'm not quite sure how but Labor Day seems to have this magical way of taking me from mourning the end of summer to being thrilled about the impending fall weather. I don't know how it does it but I'm pretty jazzed about autumn and all that goes with it.
Our Labor day was.... eventful. Waylon is an absolute sweetheart and agreed to go and help my dad with the dutch oven dinner early on Monday morning. I woke up about an hour after he left to a bunch of messages telling me I need to bring him an extra pair of pants..... and dry tennis shoes..... and extra socks. Turns out while I was snoozing Waylon, my dad, and all the other guys had been squishing through the rain and soggy grass, pretty much dealing with some absolutely miserable conditions. I packed up the extra outfit, and set out to meet my mom to pick up the rolls... 42 Dozen rolls. It was still pouring, and wrestling that many bags of hot rolls into the car created quite the spectacle for onlookers. Once we finally made it out to Wellsville, rolls in tote, the weather started to let up. The dinner went off well besides the small torrential down-pour in the middle of the sham battle, luckily we were under a massive tent.
The rest of the week went by pretty uneventfully. Saturday was our annual trip to the State Fair down in Salt Lake. Waylon's family goes every year around the time of his mom's birthday. Waylon has 2 requirements each year: 1. A new wallet. We go see the same cute little wallet guy every year, the wallet does it's job but never lasts longer than a year. 2. Ford's Beef Jerky, this is Waylon's favorite tent at the fair. I'm not a huge jerky fan but even I like this stuff, it's pretty great. When we took off from the fair we headed to Tooele to try to catch Per's last game of the day. Her team played against a couple of college teams on Saturday. Unfortunately we got to Tooele about 10 minutes after a huge rain and thunderstorm so we didn't get to watch her.
This week is pretty uneventful for us. I'm just looking forward to the weekend when I get to spend more time with my cute hubby. I thought I liked weekends before but my love for them has jumped to a whole new level being married to a graveyard worker.
Yesterday I caved to my exciting anticipation of fall and dove into my autumn recipes. I made pumpkin muffins with a cream cheese filling, they were actually pretty good. I love pumpkin everything and Waylon is so sweet about humoring me with all my new recipes. Anyone else have any absolutely magical fall recipes that I shouldn't live without?
Happy September All!!!
